Family Activities Add to the Thrills of Honda Indy Toronto

Rookie Racers Program Created for Kids Ages 5 to 12 Years   

TORONTO (June 15, 2017) - Honda Indy Toronto is proud to announce the launch of a new dedicated fan page hondaindy.com/family.  This portal of the official event website highlights all the family features and activities surrounding the 31st edition of the event happening at Exhibition Place, July 14-16.
One of the new family initiatives is the creation of a kids club dubbed "Honda Indy Toronto Rookie Racers," best suited for children aged five to 12 years.  Club registration is now open for $20 each with a limited number of memberships made available.  Kids 12 and under get free general admission to the Honda Indy Toronto making this an exceptional value.

Giving children the full Honda Indy Toronto racing experience, Rookie Racers offers direct access to race cars and drivers, as well as the opportunity to learn how these racing machines work. As previously announced, the NHL® Centennial Fan Arena will make one of its North American tour appearances at the Honda Indy Toronto in the Honda SpeedZone positioned within Thunder Alley.  The Honda SpeedZone will hold many additional family and fan activities throughout the weekend.  Plus, in Honda World, Honda Canada's Junior Red Riders program will allow kids aged six to 12 years, suited up in proper safety gear from head to toe, to ride dirt bikes at the Honda Indy Toronto.

Before the race cars take to the track on Friday, the Indy Cycling Challenge is first up on Thursday afternoon, July 13th, to raise money for a great cause.  This inaugural event benefits Prostate Cancer Canada and will be organized into two races: a 10KM and 25KM. Cyclists will compete in a timed event for a chance to win incredible prizes.  Entries are limited and are open now at theindychallenge.com.
