Karl Wolf and Vita Chambers to sing the national anthems during opening ceremonies for the Honda Indy Toronto 2inTO

TORONTO, ON, July 12, 2013 – Organizers of the 2013 Honda Indy Toronto have announced that Vita Chambers and Karl Wolf will sing the national anthems during opening ceremonies for the two IZOD IndyCar Series races taking place July 13 and 14.
 
On Saturday, Chambers will sing both the Canadian and American national anthems. Chambers is a Canadian singer-songwriter and Best Dance Record nominee at the 2013 Juno Awards for her hit single “Fix You.” 
 
On Sunday, Wolf will take center stage to perform the Canadian national anthem. Wolf is a Lebanese-born Canadian singer-songwriter. His inventive remake of the Toto hit “Africa” launched the Montrealer into international spotlight. Chambers will join him to sing the American national anthem.
 
“The ceremonies before each race are such an important part of the event,” said Charlie Johnstone, president of the Honda Indy Toronto. “We are pleased to have amazing talent at 2inTO and playing an important role in getting the races going.”
 
Opening ceremonies for the IZOD IndyCar Series races will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets to the Honda Indy Toronto are available online at hondaindy.com/tickets, by phone and can also be purchased on site at Exhibition Place during the event weekend.
