Ontario Honda Dealers becomes title sponsor of iconic Indy Toronto event

Green flag flies on ticket renewals for the 2024 Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto; public ticket sales begin April 5

TORONTO (March 14, 2024) - The Ontario Honda Dealers has been announced as the new title sponsor of the annual race weekend in downtown Toronto. Headlined by the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto is the new name of the iconic event set for July 19-21, 2024, previously known as Honda Indy Toronto. 

Newgarden dominates to win season opener at St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Sunday, March 10, 2024) - As season openers go, this couldn’t have gone much more smoothly for Josef Newgarden.

Two-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Newgarden won the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding on Sunday, driving the No. 2 PPG Team Penske Chevrolet to a 7.9121-second victory over the No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet of runner-up Pato O’Ward.

Garcia Doubles Up for Pabst  to Take an Early USF2000 Points Lead

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A sweep of The Andersen Companies Grand Prix of St. Petersburg has catapulted 14-year-old Max Garcia, from Coconut Grove, Fla., into an early lead in the quest for this year’s USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire title chase and a scholarship valued at $458,400 to progress onto the next level of the USF Pro Championships ladder in 2025. Pabst Racing’s Garcia executed a bold pass for the lead just before the midway point in this afternoon’s second race of the weekend and maintained his advantage to the finish.

Palou Fastest as St. Pete Preparation Intensifies at Sebring Test

SEBRING, Fla. (Monday, Feb. 26, 2024) – Less than two weeks before the start of the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, Alex Palou is starting right where he stopped in 2023 – on top.

Reigning and two-time series champion Palou led the first day of a two-day test Feb. 26 on the short circuit at Sebring International Raceway, turning a top lap of 52.0883 seconds in the No. 10 DHL Honda fielded by Chip Ganassi Racing. Testing was separated into morning and afternoon sessions, with Palou’s best lap coming in the afternoon on the notoriously bumpy, challenging circuit.

NBC Sports, INDYCAR Unveil 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES Race Broadcast Start Times

INDIANAPOLIS (Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024) – NBC Sports and INDYCAR announced Feb. 20 the race broadcast start times for the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule, headlined by the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 26, with coverage beginning at 11 a.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

The 2024 season kicks off on NBC and Peacock with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding at noon ET Sunday, March 10.

Both FEL Motorsports series set to race on the Streets of Toronto in 2024

ST. CATHARINES, ON (November 07, 2023) – On July 19, 20, and 21, 2024 the Sports Car Championship Canada (SCCC) presented by Michelin, and Radical Cup Canada (RCC) presented by Michelin will once again return to the streets of Toronto alongside the NTT IndyCar series.

This marks the third consecutive season the SCCC will race at the event, with the RCC appearing for a second straight year. The Radical race format will be the same race-within-race format with the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America series. The two Radical championships will race on track at the same time but will only compete for points and positions with the cars of their respective series.
